I just turned 40 in January 2009 and  suddenly realized, however I rather feel like 50. I started smoking at the age of 17 , stopped in February 2006. My body looks like a balloon, zero muscles and no motivation. When I look at the mirror im disgusted with what I see. I gave it several tries the last 2-3 years to make a change. In 2007 I managed with cardio and some lifting to reduce my body weight from 120 kg/264.55 lbs to 103 kg/227.07 lbs. I actually saw changes in my posture, but i stopped.

My Long Term Goal ( has something to do with the domain name)

Well, its not that I want to compete  for the Mr Muscle Beach title in Venice Beach. Its a dream or rather an idea I have in my head since I was a Teenager and actually never forgot. Back at that time I watched one of those black and white movies about Muscle Beach and I thought how cool that would be to go to that beach with actually some muscles, lift some weights and take some pictures. However, as  a Teenager I was skinny, weighing approximately 85 kg with a height of 1.95 m. Even going to the Gym several times a week, never really put on any muscles at all. Once one  starts to work, travel around the world, getting married, having a kid, a dog…. and one morning you look in the mirror and you are in shock. To make things  short:

I will go to Muscle Beach , Venice California take a pictures of myself lifting weights and that can only be achieved when i look just a bit like those people in Muscle Beach. There is no time frame but I want to achieve this before I turn 50yrs.

I started to do cardio and lifting with proper notes and a nutrition plan on the 1st of March 2009
